1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Squado. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide, including your date of birth, is accurate.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use and community rules

Squado is a community built on respect. You agree not to:

You can report content or users, and block anyone, from within the app. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create (profile details, photos, events, messages, and other User Content). You grant Squado a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and provide the Service (for example, showing your profile to other users or your message to a chat's participants). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with others or that we must retain for legal reasons. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

5. Meeting other people — safety

Squado helps you find people to meet in person. Your safety is your responsibility. We do not conduct criminal background checks or verify the identity of users. Use good judgment: meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and stop any interaction that feels unsafe. You interact with and meet other users at your own risk.

Squado is not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline. We are not a party to, and take no responsibility for, any interaction, event, or arrangement between users.

6. Squado Plus subscriptions

Squado Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features. It is sold through Apple's App Store.

7. Third-party services and app stores

The Service is downloaded and, for subscriptions, billed through the Apple App Store, and may use sign-in from Apple or Google. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service. To the extent required by Apple, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app as a minimum, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Squado name, logo, design, and software, belongs to Squado and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell any part of the Service except as allowed by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations, or that any event or person found through Squado will be suitable or safe. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squado will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other users or your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or €100. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Danish law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Squado harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Squado and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk or harm for others or for Squado. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licence carve-outs, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Denmark have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally or requires a different governing law.
